Hottest, lowest, driest and largest of all the lower 48 National Parks. It was our last park for 2018, breathtaking, beautiful and did not hint at hot while we were there. Driving tours, dunes and hikes – lots offered in this 3 million + acre park.
We visited as much as we could including Badwater and Artist Palette, hikes at Golden Canyon and Red Cathedral, Dante’s Peak and 20 Mule Team Canyon, Mesquite Flats and Sand Dunes.
The closure of the NPs have put a snag in our plans but we are still trying to make the most of it. We were lucky at Death Valley when a donation was given to the park to open the visitors center and bathrooms. JR Ranger badges were still earned!
