#19 Petrified Forest (AZ)

It was rainy and cold when we went through the park in early December. We spent the last light of the evening (before they closed the park at 5) and then back in the morning to explore more. It was a quick trip, and fun going back through time with the ancient forest and beautifully painted landscape. Hard to imagine how many more petrified trees had been here before the lands were protected.
