We had a ton of fun at White Sands National Monument. The sands are super soft and cover 275 square miles of desert. It is the largest gypsum dune-field in the world! The plant and animal adaptations here are striking and the kids had a blast sledding down the pristine white sand. JR Ranger badges were earned and we spent 2 days sledding. The days were so incredible I took a ton of photos!!
Oliver Lee Memorial State Park provided a picturesque campsite not too far away from the dunes with amazing sunsets each night.
