#13 Dry Tortugas (FL)

Dry Tortugas has been on our list for a long while. We didn’t have the appropriate weather window while we were sailing around these parts so we had to make the choice to miss it. Thankfully this time it worked out. Located 70 miles west of Key West, FL this remote set of islands was really a treat to visit. Accessible only by boat or sea plane, we took the 2.5 hr ferry ride on a relatively calm day. The crystal clear blue waters offer great snorkeling and Fort Jefferson is the largest brick structure of its time.  This park was well worth the effort and we had a spectacular day.
